The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) have rejected claims
from Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh that he spent the sum of $4, 000 from his
personal pocket to feed players of the Super Eagles during their training camp
of Pretoria in South Africa.
He has however been served query to this effect and also
asked to explain the shock exit of his team from the group stage at the ongoing
African Nations Championship in Rwanda.
Reacting to Sunday Oliseh’s claims, The General Secretary of the NFF, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, stated that: lt is not true that Oliseh spent his hard earned $4,000 to feed the team in their Pretoria camp before CHAN. We are not aware of that.”
“We paid for their camping at the South African High
Performance training centre in Pretoria and this also covered lodging and
feeding for two weeks the team spent there. We had no report from the centre of
not feeding them properly, so how did he spend his money to feed the team?” he
added.
