Rapper Tyga is suing his landlord for breach of contract over his Calabasas home. In court documents obtained by People, the rapper's lawyers say he plunked down $200,000 toward the purchase of the Calabasas home he's been renting.

Tyga says he has not upheld their agreement for the rapper to obtain the property. The landlord is suing Tyga in a separate suit, claiming the rapper owes $70,000 in unpaid rent.

Tyga's lawyers say he and the landlord entered into an agreement in September 2014, when the $200,000 was put in escrow as a down payment for the $8 million property.

The property is near the $2.7 million mansion Tyga's girlfriend Kylie Jenner moved into in June, ahead of her 18th birthday.
