Generator fire reportedly killed a former
Supervisory Councilor in the Kosofe Local Government Area, Olu Ogunbanjo and razed
his music shop in Oworonshoki, Lagos state. Ogunbanjo, who served in the LGA between 2003
and 2007, sustained severe degree of burnt that led to his death at the General
Hospital, Gbagada.
Ogunbanjo, who was also a member of the Music
Advertisement Association, put on his generator at his shop on Olabode Aluko
Street in the Oworonshoki area, but there was a spark which led to the fire. The
fire was said to have burnt the ex-councilor in the arms and thighs, after
which his workers reportedly rushed him to a nearby hospital.
The fire was said to have razed items in the shop,
such as audio tapes and DVDs. It was the officials of Lagos Fire Service that
put out the fire.
