Five Nigerian soldiers with 3 armored division, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos, Plateau State, died in a blast which rocked the barrack on Saturday. The dead soldiers were working in the armory at the time of the explosion, while several others sustained serious injuries.


The deceased officers were reportedly re-parking bombs in the armory when incident happened. The explosion which occurred at about 9:30am on Saturday morning was initially rumored to be Boko Haram attack and this thrown the entire city into pandemonium, The Nation reports.

The barrack is about 20 kilometer from Jos, the state capital, but the impact of the explosion was felt in the entire city. The Deputy Director of Army Public Relation, Col.
