Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6 has been declared
public holiday by the Federal Government to mark the Good Friday and Easter Monday
celebrations respectively. The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, made the
declaration in a statement issued on his behalf in Abuja by the Permanent
Secretary of the Ministry, Abubakar Magaji.
In the statement, Mr. Moro enjoined all Christians and
Nigerians in general to manifest the spiritual benefits of the Easter
celebrations in their daily living.
While wishing Nigerians happy celebrations, the minister
urged them to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity in the country.
