The weather is becoming so bad with heavy snowfall in
England, as planes have been grounded at Manchester Airport. Passengers at Manchester Airport have been
venting their frustration on Twitter.
Passengers who were to depart with morning flight, sat on Tarmac waiting
to disembark for over 1 hour.
A passenger, Adrian Cole tweeted: "In Hale this morning
and there's about 10mm of snow, 2 mins up the road and they've shut Manchester
airport!!! It's only snow!!"
An airport spokesman said: "We cannot control the
weather, our teams are fully ready to clear the snow but we must ensure the
airfield is safe."
Manchester Airport says it has "currently suspended all
departures and arrivals for a short period of time, whilst we are in the
process of clearing both runways of snow so we can resume operations as quickly
as possible.
