Nollywood actress Cha Cha Ekeh is playing lead role in a movie location, where she committed sacrilege. In the pictures, she is being prepared to face the consequences of her lifestyle, as she allegedly committed sacrilege. P&G, WWW Educate School Girls on Hygiene and Healthy Living

Leading consumer packaged goods Company, Procter & Gamble Nigeria (P&G) and Women Who Win (WWW) joined hands to inspire and educate Nigerian school girls on good hygiene, healthy living and hard work on the way to womanhood. Winners have emerged in this year’s Cowbell National Secondary Schools Mathematics Competition. With a total of 87%, Master Akintokun Adegboyega, a student of Ota Total Academy, Ogun State was adjudged the best candidate for the senior Secondary Schools category. With the 41 scored in objective questions and 46 in theory, the 13-year old Adegboyega came first out of over 29,000 students who participated in the competition from different senior secondary schools in Nigeria.

Doctors to Kick-off Indefinite Strike July 1

 Medical doctors in Nigeria will begin an indefinite strike tomorrow, after the Federal Government failed to heed a warning the doctors issued two weeks ago. The president of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Kayode Obembe, said the doctors had written an open letter to Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim, listing a set of grievances and demands.

EFCC Drags 3 Men to Court for Stealing Dead Man’s N74m

On Monday June 30, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a criminal charge against three men before an Ikeja High Court for allegedly stealing over N74 million asset belong to two dead men, Shande Ako Dzungwe and Alhaji Isa Koto. The three men Mohammed Rabiu Lawan, (alias Shande Dzungwe Ako), Raphael Olorunfemi Okomoda, Adegbesan Theophilus and others still at large were alleged to have fraudulently posed as the late Shande Ako Dzungwe and Alhaji Isa Koto and obtained over N74 million from their separate share investments with various companies.

Dublin based Nigerian socialite, Princess Queenent Amenaghawon Olige-Esezobor is dead. She died in a car crash that happened on Saturday June 28, 2014 at about 8am near Mullingar on the N4 Dublin Sligo Road, at Port na Shangan in Ireland. Two women and a girl also died in the car crash, while the male driver and sole occupant of the jeep their car hit survived with injuries.

BET Awards held on Sundat June 28, 2014, and Nigerian Pop singer, Davido who was  Los Angeles days ahead of the awards, emerged African Best Artiste of the Year at the event. Congrats to him.

How 56 Died in Boko Haram’s Attack on Kautikari Village, Borno

It was earlier reported that Boko Haram militants invaded Kautikari,, Kwada and Nguragila villages near Chibok in Borno State, on Sunday June 29, 2014. The story now is that the militants killed at least 56 people and razing numerous homes. The militants, dressed in military camouflage, stormed the three villages from 8:45 a.m, when many Christians were at Sunday services. One source said the militants arrived in the villages in a convoy of sports utility vehicles and unleashed terror on villagers for several hours. Their killing spree reportedly lasted till 12:30 p.m.

One Dies, Four Injured in BET Awards Pre-show Shooting

Los Angeles Police Department has disclosed that a man was killed and four others were injured early Sunday in a shooting during a pre-show party for the BET Awards in East Hollywood. Officers were called at 5:17 a.m. when gunfire rang out at Monalizza Restaurant and Banquet Hall, located at 1611 North Vermont Avenue. KNX 1070 reports one of the victims died at the scene. Hours after the gunfire, blood coated the sidewalks and the banquet hall inside.

Soldiers Allegedly Hide in Bush As Boko Haram Attack Churches in Borno

A handful of Nigerian soldiers went to hide in the bush as Boko Haram gunmen unleashed fresh attacks on churches in the Chibok area of Borno state on Sunday June 29, 2014. Residents said dozens of people may have been killed in the raids on villages roughly 10 kilometres, (six miles) outside of Chibok, but no one was able to offer an authoritative death toll and the military was not immediately available to comment.

Fresh Boko Haram Attack Hits Borno Village

Information has it that an attack is currently ongoing in Kautikari village, seven kilometres away from Chibok town in the southern part of Borno state. Residents are said to have made distress call to journalists and security operatives in Maiduguri calling for urgent help.

Gunmen Raze 500 Houses, Kill 3, Injure Many in Plateau

It has been revealed that there was a fresh gunmen attack on Saturday evening in Wase area of Plateau state. The attack claimed lives of three people, included a primary school headmaster while several persons sustained gunshot injuries. Their figure was put at not less than 20. The gunshot wounds were reportedly inflicted by youths from Kadarko town. Over 500 houses were said to have been razed by the heavily armed Kadarko ‘militants’. According to reports the crisis was over leadership between tussle between Jat community and Kumbwan community in Wase Local Government of Area of Plateau State.

278 Islamic Pilgrims Barred from Boarding Flight in Maiduguri Airport

On Friday June 27, 2014 at the Maiduguri airport, Borno State,  the Nigerian military barred 278 Islamic pilgrims headed for the Umrah pilgrimage from boarding a flight. In a separate development, the military also stopped Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume from taking a flight out of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State. The military prohibited the senator and other pilgrims from boarding the chartered aircraft and forced both flights to take off from the Maiduguri airport with empty seats. The military ordered the plane to take off empty, leaving behind all eight persons, including the two lawmakers who were scheduled ‎to board the flight to Abuja.

Bomb Blast Kills 10 in Bauchi Hotel

At the least 10 people have been confirmed dead with 14 others seriously injured after a bomb exploded at a brothel in Bayangari in Bauchi state yesterday night around 9.45pm.  The Bauchi State Police Command spokesman, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident in a statement and said investigations has commenced but no arrest has been made so far.

Lagos Pastor Confesses to Be Ogboni Member + How He Makes Charms & Blood Sacrifices

Founder of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Orisun-Ayo and popular pastor, Solomon Oladimeji, who has branches at Alapere, Ketu, and Odogunyan in Ikorodu area of Lagos, has confessed to being a member of the Ogboni confraternity. Fresh Explosion Foiled at EMAB Plaza, Abuja

Sources have disclosed that if not for the vigilance and timely response of security agents, another improvised explosive device (IED) would have exploded at EMAB Plaza shortly after the one that killed 21 persons and send many others to hospitals for treatment on Wednesday.
