Boko Haram sect are presently carrying out attacks in locations in Borno and Adamawa states. The sect fighters are in Uba and Hildi towns, and other locations in the two states. Residents in the area said there are no Nigerian troops on the ground to repel the militants. 
 
The sect are said to be burning houses, killing and forcefully taking foodstuffs and other valuables from the villages under attack since morning, Saharareporters disclosed.

Thousands of villagers have fled the area; while others are trapped in the early morning siege mounted by the fighters.


As the time of this report, the sect are said to be heading towards Mubi township in Adamawa.
