Coca-Cola Nigeria has hailed the Nigerian Team for their victory over the Zmajevia of Bosnia on Saturday, saying that  the 1-0 win is a precursor of the team’s future exploits at the world football fiesta taking place in Brazil.  Clem Ugorji, the Public Affairs & Communications Manager for Coca-Cola Nigeria, who made the commendation at the end of the match at the Coca-Cola Viewing Centre located in the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, said the atmosphere at the viewing centre depicts the euphoria around the country.



He said: “The turnout at this viewing centre at this time of the night is indicative of the love and support Nigerians have for, as well as their expectations of, their national team. I am very happy that the team lived up to the expectations of Nigerians by beating the Bosnians.”
 Ugorji, who was one of the over 1,000 football fans from around Surulere, Lagos who converged at the viewing centre, further said that, “the victory of the National Team puts Nigeria on a very good pedestal to qualify for the ‘Round of 16’ in the tournament and a morale booster for the team to confront the Argentine national team who are their last contenders in this group round.”
He informed that Coca-Cola Nigeria’s decision to set up three viewing centres in Lagos is part of the company’s desire to provide enabling environment for Nigerians to enjoy the game they love.

“Coca-Cola Nigeria is always eager to provide an atmosphere of conviviality for football loving Nigerians to watch their favourite game. This age long disposition saw us mount viewing centres in the Teslim Balogun Stadium, the Genesis Deluxe Cinema at the Palms and Freedom Park, Lagos Island to connect fans to all of the World Cup matches,” the Coca-Cola chieftain concluded.

The company also provided live music performances at the viewing centre to thrill the fans as they watched the match. It also organized dancing competition where lucky ones won exciting prizes including Coca-Cola branded jerseys, string bags, and plastic horns.
