Billionaire businessman, Mike Adenuga has sent $250,000 to the national team in Brazil to boost their morale to win their match against France today. This was revealed by Minister for Sports and Chairman, National Sports Commission (NSC) Dr. Tammy Danagogo. Danagogo, who presented the money to the team, assured them that the Globacom boss promised to do more if the team advances to the quarter-final stage.
 
The players, who failed to train last week over a bonus row, will be boosted by the latest development even as President Goodluck Jonathan promised that they will be paid their dues. The Nigerian business mogul was quoted by Danagogo to have said that, “this is a token and if the team goes ahead and shock the world, I will join Mr President to shock the team.”

John Mikel Obi, who spoke after the presentation to the excited players and official at the FIFA media briefing, promised Nigerians that they will do all it takes to achieve victory. “It’s a great opportunity for us and the weather will affect both sides but we hope to do what we have to do to win the match,” he stated.


The Super Eagles of Nigeria will today, take on the Les Blues of France by 5pm Nigerian time.
