It was ealier reported that Boko Haram terrorists today kidnapped three traditional rulers (Emirs). However, it has been disclosed that while two of the emirs later escaped unhurt, the Emir of Gwoza, Muhammadu Idrisa Timta, was not so lucky as he died at the hands of the kidnappers.

The gunmen attacked and seized the emirs as they travelled to Gombe, the capital of Gombe State, to attend the funeral of the Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar, who died last Tuesday in London.

Boko Haram militants ambushed their [emirs’] convoy and kidnapped them.

Two of the  traditional rulers who escaped were identified as the Emir of Askira, Abdullahi Askirama and the Emir Of Uba, Ismaila Mamza
