The National President of Script Writers Guild of Nigeria (SWGN), Mr. Chike Bryan has been suffering from kidney ailment for the past six months, and needs the help of generous and meaningful Nigerians to raise the sum of N10million for a transplant in an Indian hospital. Mr. Bryan fell sick on July 2013 and was taken to a private hospital in Ikotun, Lagos. He was referred to Isolo General Hospital, where he was diagnosed of chronic renal failure. He was later referred to Igando General Hospital, where he has been undergoing dialysis to support his kidney.

Eventually, on December 2013 he was told by kidney specialist that he will need a renal transplant. Enquiries made from Indian hospital where such surgery is done revealed that it will cost N10million.

Julia Blaise Blog (JBB) exclusively spoke with Chike Bryan and he stated: "I fell ill late July 2013, I was admitted initially at a private hospital in Ikotun. I was referred after one week to General Hospital, Isolo, where I was diagnosed of chronic renal failure after series of tests. After four days of admission at the emergency ward, I was referred to Igando General Hospital, where it was said that better equipment was available. I was admitted at Igando General Hospital for one week. Then I commenced a series of dialysis to support the kidney function, and it has continued till date. Nephrologists (kidney specialist doctors), after series of tests finally recommended a renal transplant since December 2013. Initial enquiries at an Indian hospital estimates the total cost at N10million."

The movie writer, director and producer is appealing to Nigerians to come to his aid to enable him raise the sum of N10million for renal transplant.
