The proprietor of Lagos popular plaza, Osheppey Plaza in
Ikeja, Wole Ogunpehin, has died. The multi millionaire businessman passed on
late December 2013 while receiving treatment in a Lagos hospital. We gathered
Wole, who was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses during his lifetime, suffered from
pneumonia, which he eventually died of. It was also revealed that Wole, who is
also the owner of Oshoppey Lightings, has been buried.
Wole, also the Vice President and Chairman, Membership and
Welfare Committee of Lagos Chambers
of Commerce and Industry, was laid to
rest on Friday, January 24, 2014 amid tears.
Some years ago, late Wole purchased a piece of land in Ikeja
from the family of late Haruna Ishola, where he built the famous Oshoppey
Plaza.
