The 4-year-old boy, Ifeeanyi Okenwa who disappeared from his school premises, Blossom Nursery and Primary School at Achara Layout, Enugu on July 2, 2013 has been found by Enugu state Police Command. The kid was found on September 26 at the residence of a couple, Mr and Mrs Ejiofor Eze, at Awada Layout in Onitsha, Anambrastate.

42 persons have died and 100 others are said to be missing, following a boat mishap on Friday September 27, 2013 in Malili village in Borgu LGA of Niger state. The incident occurred as the passengers mainly traders were returning from Malili to their village Tunga Illo across the River Niger, after a market day.

At least 19 people have been stung to death by hornets, which may include the world's largest hornet species Vespa mandarinia, in China's central Shaanxi province in the last three months, according to the city government of Ankang, the apparent epicenter of a recent spate of fatalities and injuries. A total of 583 people in the area have been stung by hornets since July 1, while victims are still recovering in hospitals.
