Miss Nigeria Trade beauty contest is here again. The 2013/2014 edition will hold on Sunday November 17, 2013. Miss Nigeria Trade is a beauty pageant like non-other which is geared towards the promotion and projection of the dynamisms of the Nigerian economy through socio- cultural festivities. The beauty contest, organized by Aseda- Imo Arts Production and PrettyDolls Modeling Agency is one which was first hosted in 2002. Since its maiden edition it has celebrated the birth and crowning of Ten (10) other beauty queens over ten (10) different seasons.
 
Miss Nigeria Trade is proudly endorsed by the Ministry of Trade and Investment and supported by Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) amongst other government agencies of national repute.

This year, the 2013/2014 edition is projected to be the best of all as it is set to feature contestants representing the 36 states of the country, with each of them showcasing and representing the major economic strengths of each state. This is as against its usual 15 contestants. Auditions would be hosted in over six (6) major cities of Nigeria including Abuja, Port-harcourt, Lagos, Calabar , Enugu and Aba.  

Four judges for the event would be drawn from the fashion industry and three other areas closely related to the fashion industry. They include music, photographic arts and broadcasting. The judges include Queen Aniva Aniva of Classic FM 97.3, renowned award winning female photographer Yetunde Baba Eko and Executive Director of biggest fashion institute in Nigeria Oak fashion institute, Elakama, amongst others.

The 2013/2014 edition has the President General of the Nigerian Trade Association Iyaloja Folasade Tinubu Ojo as its chief host. It is also going to feature the coronation of the President General, Trade Associatoon of Nigeria, Iyaloja Folasade Tinubu Ojo as the 'Queen Mother' for the MISS NIGERIA TRADE beauty contest. The Iyaloja would thenceforth be responsible for crowning emerging queens of the contest.

Poised to become a force to be reckoned with in the fashion entertainment industry and the Nigerian beauty pageant world, the contest which is now being projected and produced by Ace talk show host and foremost host of the Nigerian Television Fashion Show ( NTFS) Mrs Marshall Beulah is set against the back drop of fussing fashion and beauty with commerce all together, and strongly promoting the 'made in Nigeria' campaign.

Partners for the Tenth edition of the show include Da Viva fashion, Metador Energy drink, Acabado sugar craft and chops, Saponaria Zenta cream, Daraju Industries, Universal basics, Prestige Cosmetics, Hardcore Energy drink, Lady star hair, Skymit Motors, Styles and brushes beauty spa, Amigos Hair, Dallas cosmetics, Binatone, Valeta sparkling wine,   amongst others.

Prizes to be won includes an all expense paid trip to Dubai and Ghana, Brand new car, electronics, cash allowances modeling contracts with multinationals and other consolation prizes.

Audition is expected to hold across cities with grand finale on Tuesday November 5 in Lagos at the prestigious Club Rumord, 16 Oduduwa Crescent, Ikeja GRA while camping resumes a week after.


With all of these set for a new dimension for the MISS NIGERIA TRADE beauty contest in the 2013/2014 edition it would be rife to say that the stage is now set for the birthing of true  beauty ambassadors for the Nigerian economy.
