The residents of busy city of Lagos state have rumoured an outbreak of deadly disease, Cholera in certain areas of the state. According to the information gathered two days back, the water bone disease allegedly killed one person at Okota area, while residents of crowded parts of Lagos were gripped with fear. Sources have today disclosed that Lagos state Government has confirmed an outbreak of cholera in the state.
 
On yesterday, Wednesday three people were confirmed dead as a result of the disease. According to Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Mr Jide Idris, the worst affected areas include, Apapa, Ajegunle, Surulere, Oshodi and Lagos Island.

The Health Commissioner revealed that so far 13 cases have been reported, while three have been confirmed dead. He equally informed that the state government fighting hard to put a stop to the spread of the disease.


Recall that the unusual wave of cholera outbreak kicked-off in Plateau state, and spread to Zamfara where over 50 people have been confirmed dead.
