Residents of Federal Capital Territory are now living in abject fear as gunmen dressed in Nigerian army uniforms struck at the Abuja Legislative quarters at about 2.30am on Friday September 2013, shooting sporadically, killing four people  while six others were injured.

The Nigerian Police is just arriving at the scene and evacuating people. Witnesses also claimed that some identity cards of the alleged "soldiers" (gunmen) were found.

Sources say the shooting and killing happened in an uncompleted building behind the Abuja legislative quarters. The open fire allegedly killed many illegal inhabitants of the building, who were warned many times to stop passing the night in the building.
