Police officers at Aba Area Command might be in serious mourning, as Inspector John, who hailed from Cross River State and lived on ‘E’ Line, Judge’s Barracks slumped and died inside a patrol van while on duty in the city last Saturday.

Before his death, Inspector John complained of slight fever and bought some drugs with which he treated himself after which he led a patrol team to monitor the compliance of last month’s clean up exercise on Saturday in the city.

Few minutes after the patrol van left the area command’s premises, the Inspector started complaining of strange feelings inside him and asked the driver to move slowly. Before his colleagues could know what was happening to their colleague, the police Inspector, who was on the front seat had slumped and started fuming in the mouth.
