The fight between CAF and management of  Rangers International F.C of Enugu appears to have deepened as Rangers  has concluded plans to take its disqualification from this year’s CAF Confederation cup to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (C.A.S) in Switzerland. Rangers have insisted that they will appeal their elimination by CAF at CAS.
 
They tagged the incident a miscarriage of justice, Rangers insisted that they will not rest till they are justifiably heard.

CAF disqualified the Nigerian club from the second-tier Confederation Cup on the basis that it fielded an ineligible player, its goalkeeper, Daniel Emmanuel, in their final qualifier against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia. As a result of the ruling, Sfaxien replaced the Nigerian club in the mini-league stage of the Confederation Cup.
