Very noteworthy at the just concluded African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) was the speech of Governor Seriake Dickson, who revealed various contributions of Bayelsa state government towards the growth of entertainment industry in Nigeria. The governor disclosed that he loves entertainment and will actually contribute his own quota to ensure that the sector will soar. 

 
Indicating his readiness to move into action; Gov. Dickson declared his intention to lay foundation for Yenagoa Film and Entertainment City soon, an initiative he stated will turn Nollywood to Beverly Hills in Africa. The governor did not stop there, he equally pronounced his objective to donate N250million, which he tagged Film Empowerment Fund. 

The governor equally revealed that with continuous host being played by Bayelsa state, AMAA will be funded by private sectors.
